The ground conditions were hard being clay especially working through the heat wave. This element of the project being this size should take 2 days. With the conditions we were up against it turned in to a 5 day dig. We have proposed drainage running along side the foundation in a existing concrete slab so this was set out and excavated also. Once the dig was signed off by building control the concrete and pump were ordered ready to mass fill, turning these trenches in to a footing. Once the concrete has cured the bricklayers visit site to bring the substructure block work to DPC height.
